We live in The Lemon House in Lotzorai, Ogliastra where we offer bed and breakfast accommodation for €29-34 per person per night for most of the year, with a small supplement in the summer. Pros and cons : The Lemon House vs Apartment
It might be useful to know the advantages of the two types of accommodation we offer.
We live in The Lemon House, so we are on hand every morning to help you plan your day. We have all the maps of the area as well as a vast range of guidebooks and other books on the history, geography and archaeology of the area which you are welcome to consult.
At the big house, we provide an ample breakfast and there are two tables where you can eat your own food at lunch time, one in the dining room, one on the roof terrace and you can keep food in our spare fridge in the dining room. But we do not allow you to cook as we only have one kitchen. However, note that eating out here is very cheap: you can eat a take-away pizza for €5 and a 3-course meal for €15-25.
We have four bedrooms and can sleep 9 adults but if your group is larger, we can arrange for some more guests to stay at a nearby hotel.
At the apartment, you do not have maps or books and obviously we are not staying there with you! So to get advice on activities or directions, you have to come over to The Lemon House. But you can eat whatever you want for breakfast and you have a fully-equipped kitchen and can cook your own meals and eat them on the balcony or at the table in the kitchen.
If you have a baby, you may prefer to be in the apartment as you may need access to a cooker to heat up baby food. Also the apartment is closer to a beach, only about 200m compared to 1.5k at the house.

Gallura Bike Point is a well-known reference point for mountain bikers and road cyclists in northern Sardinia and from 2012 the owners have their own Bio-Agriturismo, Sole e Terra. 7 hectares of land, Bio food, relaxation…and lots of cycling as well!
Two-Centre Climbing holiday
For climbers who want to spend a week at The Lemon House then a week at Cala Gonone, we can organise rental of a friend’s apartment there. You leave here with the keys, and then at the end of the week we drive the 1 hour 15 minutes to Cala Gonone to pick up the keys and maybe do some climbing together.
